Sugar Town - Pleasurable mosaic of LA life characterizing a handful of characters whose lives merge - a musician hopeful who will do anything to get ahead, an uptight lone lady who allures the inappropriate men like a magnet, and a band made up of cleaned-up ’80s rock megastars, to name a few. Made on a shoestring, although clever and well recognized; outstanding cast contains a variety of real life musicians. Cast includes Ally Sheedy, Rosanna Arquette, John Taylor, Jade Gordon, Michael Des Barres, Lucinda Jenney, and Martin Kemp. (92 minutes,’99)

Cop Land - Freddy Hanlin is the Sheriff of Garrison New Jersey, a small town not too far from New York City. Freddy always wanted to be a New York City cop, but he is slightly hard of hearing, so he never could. When internal investigator Mo Tilden shows up in town to look into possible police corruption, Freddie takes up the cause and begins to help out. Freddie is about to learn that the men he has always looked up to might be doing some very bad things.

Vertical Limit - Peter Garett, an ex mountain climber who gave the sport up after his father died terribly while climbing, discovers himself in a demanding situation. His sister and climbing partner have been trapped in a deep chasm while attempting to climb the famous K2 peak. He is one of the only people competent of even attempting a near impossible rescue. Time is of the essence, as the trapped climbers will soon freeze to death.

Dingo - An bewildering appearance by jazz trumpeter Billy Cross (Davis) in a boy’s rural town empowers him to become a musician himself. Now grown up, he still fantasies of playing for a living and honoring his lifelong hero. This pleasant but dull paced storyline is kindled by Miles Davis’ dynamic presence and fawning behavior.
