La Petit Lili: A family’s country house is charged with sentiment while the hotheaded child, a yearning film maker actor, finds that his lady friend is captivated with his mom’s boyfriend, a triumphant head of mainstream films. A Life less Ordinary: This is a black comedy in regards to a janitor who abducts his ex-supervisor’s little girl, a ruined heiress who finds life a bore. In the mean time, 2 ambassadors from heaven (Hunter and Lindo) have to find a way to make these 2 fated souls fall in love. Cast includes Ewan McGregor, Cameron Diaz, Holly Hunter, Delroy Lindo, Ian Holm, Ian McNeice, Stanley Tucci, Dan Hedaya, Tony Shalhoub, Maury Chaykin, and Judith Ivey. (103 minutes,’97)

Metropolis: A classic silent film fantasy of a futuristic city and its mechanized civilization, with an upper class young man leaving behind his life of luxury to join overpowered employees in revolt. Cast includes Brigitte Helm, Alfred Abel, Gustav Froelich, Rudolf Klein-Rogge, and Fritz Rasp. (124 minutes,’27)

Rambo: Much better than part II, this one continues to be firmly footed in the genre of mindless action films, as our brawny idol goes behind Russian battle lines in Afghanistan to save his buddy from a prison fortress. You will see lots of eruptions to keep the action going and some funny stuff thrown in too. Cast includes Sylvester Stallone, Richard Crenna, Marc de Jonge, Kurtwood Smith, Spiros Focas, and Sasson Gabai. (101 minutes,’88)

Laws of Attraction: N.Y.C. divorce attorney Moore has never lost a case but meets her match in cunning adversary Brosnan, who additionally manages to get her to let her guard down. This romantic comedy never gets on point, however showcases Brosnan’s laidback charm and gives Moore a rare comedic role. Cast includes Pierce Brosnan, Julianne Moore, Frances Fisher, Parker Posey, Michael Sheen, Nora Dunn, and David Kelly. (90 minutes, 2004)
